365 days to My First Million

Day 6! New Goal!

As you can tell from my post yesterday I was having a "feel sorry for me day," and that is ok, we are all going to have them. I think it comes from being overwhelmed by the size of my goal! (1 Million Dollars in 365 days) Oh Gosh!!!! Well if you think about it, I have spent the last year barely scraping by. Even today I am worried about my mortgage payment and my power bill.

(STOP THINKING ABOUT IT) No one said it would be easy.........

Well if I want to reach my goal I need to focus............

Today is day 6 and so far all I have really done is forgiven myself for my mistakes! I have yet to schedule any meeting or make any phone calls. So Today's goal is to write my list! I am going to use my memory jogger and write down everyone that I know down regardless if I feel my product is for them. Then for the reminder of the week I will call them. I will update my post tonight.

Day 5! Change of course

I have been analyzing my goal of a Million Dollars in earnings and I think I am going to change it to Million Dollars in Sales instead! I was going over my action plan and since it was centered around my business it seemed unrealistic! I know I know maybe I am having just having one of those days where I doubt myself, but even if I hit a million in sales in my business that would mean I would be making $50,000 a month plus bonuses!

So basically I would need 10,000 new distributors added into my business by year end. Again That means I need a strong base of leaders in my business!

Man sometimes I don't know what I am doing! I swear I have wanted to be someone all my life! I remember growing up wanted to be a professional baseball player! Then I wanted to play college football in College! Then when I was working for Costco I wanted to be the CEO! Now I have my Master's and still just dream! Why is it so hard at times! Man I am really just having a bad day! OK OK I think I am going to step away for today! I know tomorrow I will be ready to tackle my goal! Good Night!

Day 4! Action Plan

OK so I stated that I needed to grow my team of 5 distributors to over 16,000, if I wanted to earn a million dollars. So how am I going to do that ? Well in a perfect work the power of duplication states that if I help my 5 distributors find just 5 each and help those 5 find 5, I would have over over 90,000 distributors. Well unfortunately I don't leave in a perfect world so I will have to work for those 16,000 distributors.

I figure a good start would be around 100 distributors. So I am making that my goal for January! 100 new distributors in my team. So to make that happen I personally need to enroll 10 new distributors, then help my team enroll 10 a piece! That would mean I need to talk to 100 new people! OK that mean I need to make 25 calls a week! OK Time to write my list!!!

Day 3 Breaking Down the Goal

So lets quickly recap the last two days! Day 1, I defined my goal, which is to make my first million dollars and I am giving myself until December 31, 2010. Day 2 I admitted my failures and forgave myself for those failures. Okay!!! So on to Day 3. Today I will break down my goal and start my action plan

Let's see I want to make $1,000,000 dollars by year end, so that means I would have to make $19,230.77 a week or $2,747.26 a day or $343.40 an hour for an 8 hour shift to reach that goal. Currently, I make $20 dollars an hours at my job, but we all know that if you want to be rich its not coming from an hourly job.

My Current businesses that can help me reach my goal of $1,000,000 dollars
Network Marketing (Jus International)
Copy writing consultant
Real estate Investor

To make $19,230 a week I need to grow my team in Jus to roughly 16,000 distributors. Currently I have 10. That means my team would have to add 1,333 new people every month, but that means by year end I would have 16,000 distributors and making $80,000 a month, but I would miss my goal by half a million, but that would put me on track to hit a million dollars by year end of 2011. Ok this is very achievable.

The cool thing is I will be making a lot of people rich with me, because I only work 3 legs in my business, which means as I sign more people on. I have to place them under people. Ok so now that I know how I will make my 1 million, its time to break down how many meeting I will need to be making to reach 16000 distributors, but I will save that more tomorrow.

Day 2 Who am I!

Okay so its day 2 of me deciding to make 1 million dollars within 365 days? I wonder if I can really do this? Well I guess we will find out!!!!

Well let me tell you a little bit about me. I am a recent MBA graduate, I have a 3 year old boy names Isaiah and I works from home, because it allows me to be with him all day. Now a little about about my finances! Currently, I am broke!! I am so broke that I will be filing bankruptcy this month. The reason I am broke is because I started a business October of 2008 and put my life savings into it and it went belly up. Then I had a hard time getting a job to supplement my income. Oh yeah I am also getting a divorce! So all in all 2009 SUCKED. But I am determine to make 2010 better!

Even though all this bad stuff was going on I never stop reading and learning. One of the best books I can across about mind set was Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz. What I love about the book is it talks about forgiving yourself RIGHT NOW for all your passed failures....the book goes to say that people have a hard time accomplishing their goals because they never forgive themselves for failing. They believe they are undeserving of new found success. So they stop trying......Sad

So even though I am about to officially file for bankruptcy and divorce! I am going to forgive myself RIGHT NOW for those failures. Those failures will not define me!!!!!!!!! So here I go

Jose your first business went under and you lost all my money, but I forgive you
Jose because of you I will have a bankruptcy on my credit report, but I forgive you
Jose you couldn't make your marriage work, but I forgive you

Wow it may should stupid but I feel better about 2009. I can't go back and change what happen, but from this day forward I am a new man.

365 days to make 1 Million dollars

The other night I was watching Julia/Julia with my girlfriend. It is about a lady named Julia who wanted to make a change in her life, but didn’t know how. The only thing she knew was she liked to cook, so she decided to tackle Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” The idea was she was going to cook one meal a day out of the book for the next 365 days and then blog about it! What I loved about that is it made Julia accountable, even if no one every read her blog and it made her work on her goal every single day.

The biggest reason people NEVER reach their goals is because:

Goals are never defined
Never set a deadline
No accountability
Don’t work on them everyday

So what I am going to do for the next 365 days is work on making 1 million dollars! That’s right my final goal is to make my First Million Dollars. Honestly I am not sure how I am going to do it, but I am going to make myself accountable to YOU, whoever YOU are! So everyday I am going to post my “What I have done that day to reach my goal of earning 1 Million Dollars” I would love comments and tips for those that have already reached this massive goal! I know its crazy,” but it’s better to reach for the stars, the worst that happens is I hit the moon!” Wish me Luck!
